What we believe about the Bible . . .
The Bible is the inerrant Word of God, sufficient for faith and practice. It is inspired, infallible and supreme. God's Word is the final authority on all matters upon which it teaches. No other writings are vested with such divine authority. 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Romans 15:4
What we believe about God . . .
There is only one God, creator of heaven and earth, who exists as three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each fully God yet each personally distinct from each other. Genesis 1:1, 2 Corinthians 13:14, Hebrews 1:1-4
What we believe about Jesus . . .
Jesus Christ is God manifested in the Flesh being born of the virgin Mary and lived a sinless human life. Willingly He took upon Himself all of our sins, died on the cross and rose again. His death on the cross was necessary as a substitute atonement for the sins of all mankind. His resurrection three days later and ascension into heaven forty days later assures all mankind of His ability to give salvation to all that ask for forgiveness and believe the Gospel. Jesus is the sole mediator between God and mankind. Philippians 2:5-11, Hebrews 4:14-15
What we believe about the Holy Spirit . . .
The Holy Spirit, third Person of the Trinity, convicts the world of sin and draws people to Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit permanently lives in every believer providing assurance, strength, and wisdom to live Christ-like lives. He also uniquely gives each believer spiritual gifts to serve the church and reach out to a lost and needy world. Acts 2:38, Ephesians 4:30, 1 Corinthians 12:13
What we believe about Salvation . . .
Apart from Jesus Christ, all people are spiritually lost and, because of sin, deserve the judgment of God and condemned to hell. However, God gives salvation and eternal life to anyone who trusts in Jesus Christ and in His sacrifice, His death on the cross, and His resurrection which was done on the behalf of us all. Salvation cannot be earned through personal goodness or human effort. It is a gift of grace that must be received by humble repentance and faith in Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross. Salvation cannot be lost. Anyone who has sincerely and genuinely accepted this gift of salvation cannot lose their salvation. John 3:15-17, Romans 6:23, Romans 10:9-10 & 13, 2 Corinthians 5:17-21
What we believe about the church . . .
The church consists of the people of God who have accepted God's call to follow Christ as Savior and Lord. The local church is not a place but a congregation of believers who gather for worship, prayer, instruction, encouragement, mutual accountability, and fellowship with each other. A New Testament church of the Lord Jesus Christ is an autonomous local congregation of baptized believers, associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the gospel. We believe that baptism by immersion and the Lord's Supper are two ordinances of the church . Through the church, believers invest time, energy, and resources to fulfill the Great Commission of reaching all people and helping them grow into fully devoted followers of Christ. Acts 2:38-47, 1 Corinthians 11:23-25, Matthew 16:18. Matthew 18:18-20, Ephesians 1:22-23
